Features: Ma Yifu (1883–1967), styled Yifu, was a native of Huji, Zhejiang (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). A modern Chinese thinker, he was known as one of the "Three Saints of Modern China" alongside Liang Shuming and Xiong Shili, and was an early representative of modern Neo-Confucianism. He was deeply versed in ancient philosophy, literature, and Buddhism. Additionally, he excelled in calligraphy, integrating Cangcao and Han Lì into a unique style, earning the admiration of Feng Zikai as the "Tiger of Chinese Calligraphy." He once accepted an invitation to teach at Peking University upon the invitation of Cai Yuanpei but declined a position offered by Chiang Kai-shek. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as the Director of the Zhejiang Literary and Historical Research Institute, Vice Director of the Central Literary and Historical Research Institute, and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. His works were later compiled into the Collected Works of Ma Yifu.
