Features: Ouyang Xiu's "Postscripts to the Collection of Antiquities," in calligraphy, ink on paper. The title is inscribed in running script by Wu Yuwei with the characters "Remains of the Venerable," and the colophon includes inscriptions by Zhao Mingcheng, Mi Fu, Han Yuangji, Zhu Xi, You Mao, Hong Mai, Fang Congyi, Hu Yan, and Li Xian, among others. The original manuscript is now preserved in the Taipei Palace Museum. Ouyang Xiu was a connoisseur of ancient artifacts and a diligent scholar, knowledgeable in all fields of learning. His poetry and prose combined the strengths of Li Bai, Du Fu, and Han Yu, making him a literary master of his generation, renowned throughout the world. He wrote extensively, and "Postscripts to the Collection of Antiquities" is one of his works. This book examines inscriptions and artifacts from the pre-Qin to the Five Dynasties period, comprising ten volumes. The surviving ink on paper is merely four fragments, leaving less than one percent of the original.
