Features: As a part of China's higher education system, the self-study examination is responsible for advocating self-study, encouraging self-study, assisting self-study, and promoting self-study at the level of higher education. Its duty is to pave the way for self-made success for every self-learner. Organizing the writing of teaching materials for readers is an important aspect of fulfilling this duty. Without a doubt, such teaching materials should be suitable for self-study, beneficial for learners to grasp and understand new knowledge and information, conducive to enhancing innovative awareness and cultivating practical abilities, forming self-study skills, and also helpful for learners to apply what they have learned to solve practical problems in their work. Books with such characteristics, although we still use the concept of "teaching materials," are quite different from traditional textbooks that focus on teachers teaching and students listening, where teachers don't teach, students don't understand, and where teaching is central. In terms of content arrangement, format, and writing style, they are significantly different. It is hoped that readers will understand this so that they can establish from the beginning a firm belief in learning through self-reliance, continuously explore learning methods that suit them, make full use of their existing knowledge base and practical work experience, and maximize their potential to achieve learning goals.
