Features: This book is a supplementary guide for the "Cognitive Psychology" exam syllabus of the National Higher Education Self-Tuition Examination.
Basis for Compilation: 1. The "Self-Tuition Exam Syllabus for Cognitive Psychology" promulgated by the National Higher Education Self-Tuition Examination Guidance Committee; 2. The designated textbook "Cognitive Psychology" (edited by Gao Yuxiang, published by Liaoning University Press).
Book Features: Each chapter is divided into three parts: "Key Knowledge Points," "Synchronous Exercises," and "Reference Answers." The "Key Knowledge Points" provide a brief explanation of the "Assessment Requirements" in the exam syllabus. The "Synchronous Exercises" include question types that will be encountered during the exam. Most of the questions are basic, with a moderate number of comprehensive and practical questions covering all aspects of the "Assessment Requirements" in the syllabus. The "Reference Answers" are primarily based on the designated textbook, with references to other textbooks. The answers are designed to be complete, concise, and clear, encompassing the main scoring points.
Points to Note When Using This Book: 1. Study the exam syllabus diligently. The syllabus is the fundamental basis for the exam, and generally, exam questions should not exceed its scope. Based on studying and analyzing the syllabus, determine the key content to master in each chapter. 2. According to the key content to be mastered, circle the key review questions in the "Synchronous Exercises" for each chapter. Put in more effort on this part, strive to understand and memorize them, and apply what you learn to similar situations. After mastering the key content, you can then study other material. Do not invert the priorities or tackle everything without discrimination—don’t just grab everything at once. 3. Although there are many synchronous exercises in this book, they cannot cover everything. Some questions are illustrative. During the learning process, pay attention to analogizing and extending your knowledge. 4. Pay attention to the conversion of question types and changes in wording. Essay questions can become more challenging and turn into discussion questions in some aspects, while discussion questions can be simplified in certain aspects and become essay questions. A point in an essay or short-answer question can become a multiple-choice question, etc. Additionally, the same issue can be phrased in various ways. Do not learn the knowledge too rigidly, to the point where a slight change in the question format leaves you unsure of how to answer. 5. According to the exam syllabus requirements, this book contains 11 chapters, each with key content to master. However, there is a certain interconnectedness between chapters. Grasping these connections can deepen your understanding of the knowledge, save considerable time in review and memorization, and even help solve related issues.
