Should prostatic cysts be treated?

Patient's question:

Prostate size and shape are normal, with clear margins. An abnormal hypoechoic area approximately 11x10 mm in size is visible within the prostate, with a round shape, thin smooth walls, and posterior echo enhancement. Diagnosis: Prostate cyst.

Doctor's answer:

Percutaneous drainage is relatively simple. Through digital rectal examination, a long needle is inserted into the abscess cavity, and a syringe is used to aspirate until all the pus is completely removed. Sometimes one session may not completely eliminate the abscess; it may require two or more sessions to achieve satisfactory results.
When the abscess cavity is large and the amount of pus is significant, incision and drainage are preferred. A proctoscope is used to expose the prostate area, and a sharp knife is used to incise the rectal wall into the abscess cavity, allowing the pus to drain out and a drainage tube to be placed. The timing for removing the drainage tube is determined based on the drainage condition and further examination. Currently, this treatment still requires the use of antibiotics in conjunction with the therapy.
