Features: The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a standardized test administered by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. It assesses proficiency in Japanese in three areas: vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and listening. Since vocabulary is the foundation of language, it is self-evident that mastering Japanese vocabulary plays a crucial role in the JLPT. Based on the "JLPT Test Content Specifications" set by Japan, this book includes over 10,000 vocabulary items. Combining the authors' extensive teaching experience and the needs of Chinese learners of Japanese, it provides necessary annotations for each word and examples of usage for many common terms. In terms of layout, the book is designed for ease of use:
(1) Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, 4) are used before each word to indicate the test level requirements. Additionally, to assist Chinese master's degree candidates preparing for the exam, based on the 2001 revised exam syllabus issued by China's Ministry of Education, they should also master vocabulary items not marked with level requirements.
(2) In the appendix, tables are provided:
① A "List of Common Japanese Colloquial Expressions," with concise "usage examples" explained;
② A "List of Common Japanese Kanji," including comparisons with Chinese characters and pronunciation.
Regarding vocabulary and the colloquial expressions and kanji in the appendix, Level 1 candidates should also master the requirements of Levels 2, 3, and 4. Similarly, candidates for Levels 2 and 3 should master the requirements of the higher levels accordingly.
