Features: The Japan Institute of Architects Joint Council, Korea Institute of Architects, and China National Council for Registration of Architects have been collaborating for over 10 years. The purpose of this cooperation is to foster friendship, promote technological advancement, and enhance mutual exchanges among the three organizations. In 1985, the Japan Institute of Architects Joint Council and the Korea Institute of Architects formally signed an agreement to establish bilateral ties. However, this relationship can be traced back 15 years prior to the agreement. Due to the emotional bonds formed through long-term connections, the Korea Institute of Architects served as a bridge to connect with the China National Council for Registration of Architects, which in turn facilitated the trilateral cooperation. The "Young Architects Showcase" was proposed at the third meeting in Osaka, Japan, and has been continuously promoted. This project encourages young architects to participate in the conference. Since then, the opportunities for international exchanges among young architects from the three countries have increased, and I believe this will mark the beginning of future international interactions. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the trilateral meeting between the Japan-China-Korea Architects Organizations in 2006, the China National Council for Registration of Architects will summarize the achievements of the past 10 years. This idea was proposed by the Chinese delegation at the 2005 meeting in Sapporo, Japan, and was widely supported. Common Pursuit – Japan-China-Korea Architects Portfolio was organized and published by the Chinese side, with all relevant parties making great efforts to provide various materials. The portfolio covers a wide range of topics, including the works of highly motivated young architects as well as descriptions of the current state of art and technology. This outcome is a direct reflection of the value generated and discussed over the past 10 years.
