How to cure fungal balanitis

Patient's question:

I recently don't know what's going on, my lower body is very uncomfortable, and I'm not getting morning erections anymore. How should candidal balanitis be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Use physiological saline or 0.1% Ringer's solution to rinse the affected area, 2-3 times daily. After rinsing, apply 1%-2% gentian violet solution or the aforementioned imidazole creams externally. If the prepuce is excessively long, circumcision should be performed after healing to prevent recurrence. It may be urethritis; consider oral azithromycin or intravenous ceftriaxone for treatment. Drink plenty of water to increase urine output, which helps flush the urethra. Avoid spicy foods and alcohol.
