What causes male infertility

Patient's question:

I recently don't know what's going on, my lower body is very uncomfortable, and I'm not getting morning erections anymore. What could be the reason for male infertility?

Doctor's answer:

Males with infertility can be divided into two major categories: normospermic male infertility and male infertility with sexual dysfunction. The former can be further classified based on the semen analysis of the male friends into azoospermia, severe oligozoospermia, oligozoospermia, normozoospermic infertility, polyzoospermia, and asthenozoospermia. The latter can be subdivided into psychological, neurogenic, vascular, endocrine, drug-induced, and diabetic types. Male infertility is no longer just a reproductive health issue but has become a serious social problem. Almost all systemic diseases, especially severe chronic diseases, can lead to decreased libido in males. Systemic diseases such as liver cirrhosis, chronic kidney failure, and chronic active hepatitis can disrupt the normal hormonal metabolism process of male friends, leading to a state of physical and psychological exhaustion in patients, accompanied by decreased or absent libido, ultimately resulting in male infertility.
