Features: The period of the Second Revolutionary War in China was a highly significant time in the history of the Communist Party of China. It was a time when armed revolution opposed armed counter-revolution and achieved brilliant victories, a period when the Party overcame "Left" errors and matured from its infancy, and a critical period when the universal truth of Marxism-Leninism was combined with the specific practice of the Chinese revolution to form Mao Zedong Thought. During this period, under the leadership of Mao Zedong, the Communist Party of China, based on the conditions of China, shifted the focus of the revolution from cities to rural areas, mobilized peasants in vast rural areas, organized armed forces, established governments, carried out land reforms, and created the Jinggang Mountains and Central Soviet Region, as well as 15 other Soviet regions such as Xiangjiang, Hailufeng, Dongjiang, Emei-Henan-Anhui, Qiongyai, Fujian-Zhejiang-Anhui-Jiangxi, Xiangjiang-Jiangxi, Youjiang, Sichuan-Shaanxi, Xiangjiang-Shaanxi-Guizhou, Emei-Henan-Shaanxi, and Shaanxi-Gansu. These regions opened up the revolutionary path of encircling the city with the countryside and ultimately seizing national victory. In 1997, it marked the 70th anniversary of the Nanchang Uprising, the Autumn Harvest Uprising in Xiangjiang, and the founding of the Jinggang Mountains Soviet Region. The "Dictionary of Chinese Soviet Regions," compiled by Party history workers from the Party history departments of 10 provinces and regions including Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan, and Ningxia, strives to comprehensively, systematically, and authentically reflect the struggle history of the 15 Soviet regions and recreate the pioneering, resilient, self-sacrificing, and arduous revolutionary spirit of the Communist Party of China. This "Dictionary" covers a wide range of topics and is comprehensive in its categories, integrating knowledge, readability, and professionalism. Guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory, it adheres to the spirit of the Party's two resolutions on "Certain Historical Issues," advocating for emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts. It fully affirms the Party's glorious achievements during its progress while also not avoiding certain errors made during this period. The "Dictionary" holds significant academic and historical value.
