Features: In the era of blood and fire, there was an army that was persecuted and unyielding in its pursuit of democracy, repeatedly setbacks and repeatedly rising. This army was the Northwest Army led by the patriotic general Feng Yuxiang. From its birth to development, growth, division, and reintegration, until it moved towards the light, every step was filled with legends, sparkling with the glint of swords and spears. This army, which was originally not well-known, fought in the Second Sino-Japanese War, returned to the capital, launched the "Beijing Coup," overthrew the government of Cao Kun, drove out the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and completed the unfinished mission of the Xinhai Revolution, instantly becoming famous. However, this army suddenly faced exclusion from the Fengtian and Anhui factions at the Tianjin Conference. After carefully assessing the situation, they wisely adopted a strategy of retreat to advance, which allowed them to achieve certain development and was known as "North Red," second only to the "South Red" Guangdong National Revolutionary Army in reputation. To eliminate this "North Red" that yearned for democracy and followed the revolution, the sworn enemies of the Fengtian and Zhili factions joined forces with Yan Xishan, launched a major encirclement in northern Jin and eastern Chaoshan, resulting in the Battle of Nan Kou, which nearly wiped out this army. At the critical moment, Feng Yuxiang visited the Soviet Union in the north and allied with the National Revolutionary Army in the south. The military ceremony in Wuyuan raised the banner of Northern Expedition, allowing this army to rise again. Moving from Gansu to Shaanxi, it lifted the siege of Xi'an in August, enabling this army to rapidly grow and strengthen. Moving eastward across the pass of Tong Pass, sweeping thousands of troops, it met the National Revolutionary Army in Zhengzhou. "South Red" and "North Red" advanced northward together, swiftly capturing Tianjin and Beijing. Across the Yangtze River and the mountains, all the Beiyang warlords within Shanhai Pass were pacified. The Northwest Army also became one of the largest, highest-quality, strongest, and most battle-honored armies in the Kuomintang forces. The Northwest War never ceased! The Northwest Army, which had experienced the horrors of war, was an undeniable part of Chinese history, both in its achievements and its shortcomings.
Situated in the northwest, the war has not ceased (A Record of the History of the Northwest Army)
