What medication is good for urinary tract infections

Patient's question:

Hello doctor, I haven't been working recently and have been staying at home taking care of things. But for some reason, I suddenly got a urinary tract infection. I don't really understand what's going on with this. What kind of medicine should I take for a urinary tract infection?

Doctor's answer:

Vaginitis is clinically characterized by changes in the quality of vaginal discharge and external genital itching, burning, and pain. Pain during intercourse is also common. When the infection involves the urethra, symptoms such as dysuria and urinary urgency may occur. Common types of vaginitis include bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, candidiasis, atrophic vaginitis, gonococcal vaginitis, and nongonococcal vaginitis.
Advice: Vaginitis can be of fungal, trichomonal, or mixed bacterial types. It is recommended to be diagnosed in a Grade III-A hospital for targeted treatment to be effective. During treatment, sexual activity should be avoided, and a diet free of spicy foods is advised. Daily changes of underwear are recommended, and they should be washed together with towels and basins.
