Features: This book aims to combine theory and practice, starting from several complex issues in contemporary Chinese moral construction, to systematically study the general phenomena and fundamental laws of moral development in modern China. The emergence of a series of problems and challenges in China's moral domain stems from the ongoing social reform led by the establishment and development of a socialist market economy. Therefore, our research is closely tied to this fundamental perspective. The book is divided into four main sections:
1. Foundational Principles: This section primarily examines the starting point of moral construction, systematically elaborating and arguing that contemporary Chinese moral development should embrace the challenges of globalization, adapt to the socialist market economy, align with socialist legal norms, and inherit the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation.
2. Market Morality: This section provides a theoretical analysis of the relationship between the market economy and the development of ethics, as well as a theoretical examination of the Chinese characteristics of the market economy system, thereby scientifically deriving the moral laws governing market operations.
3. Moral Normative System: After clarifying several fundamental theoretical issues in moral normative construction, this section proposes and argues for a series of moral norms at both the social and citizen levels, thereby establishing a relatively comprehensive and open moral normative system.
4. Moral Construction System: This section systematically analyzes the external environment, operational mechanisms, and internal driving forces of moral construction from macro, meso, and micro perspectives.
This book seeks to address and resolve the moral issues and challenges in the process of contemporary Chinese development through the study of these four major topics, thereby promoting the practical application of Chinese ethics.
