Features: In religion, heresy is the opposite of orthodoxy. All traditional religions regard forces that violate, distort, or their doctrines and deviate from moral traditions as heretical. Li Hongzhi and his heretical organization "Falun Gong" plagiarize religious terminology, especially Buddhist terms, fabricate the so-called "Great Law of Falun," deceive the public, extort money, and destroy lives. Not only does this severely harm society and the people, but it also profoundly disgraces our orthodox Buddhism and wounds the religious sentiments of all Buddhist followers. Therefore, heresy is not religion, but religion is the natural enemy of heresy. For this very reason, we have been the earliest to oppose heresy in Buddhism. As early as 1996, the beloved late President Zhao Puchu pointed out the heretical nature of "Falun Gong." Although the religious community has held the earliest anti-heresy symposiums and academic lectures in collaboration with anti-heresy advocates from all walks of life, this conference is truly a rare opportunity. The theme of this conference, "Respecting Religious Freedom and Combating and Preventing Heresy," is truly miraculous. We believe that the fruits of in-depth discussion and research on this theme will be of great significance and long-term guidance for future anti-heresy struggles. In Buddhist terms, the convening of this conference is truly immeasurable merit, worthy of our joy and praise.
