Edited by nationally renowned scholars and featuring an author team composed of the elite of Shandong's literature and history circles, this book is a valuable academic monograph. Qi-Lu culture is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. With the passage of time, Qi-Lu culture has expanded beyond the cultural boundaries of Shandong and has become a distinctive Eastern culture with Chinese characteristics, encompassing both inland and maritime culture. Shandong is surrounded by the sea on three sides and has had exchanges with Japan and South Korea for thousands of years. Qi-Lu culture is also an open culture, with much to explore and discuss. As a large-scale regional cultural history, the Comprehensive History of Qi-Lu Culture is unique in China to date. It not only fills gaps in academic research but also offers a promising exploration of how to write the history of regional culture, addressing theoretical issues. This Comprehensive History of Qi-Lu Culture is rich in data and content, focusing on cutting-edge academic issues and demonstrating strong academic rigor. It examines the characteristics and evolution of Qi-Lu culture in each era from the perspectives of ideology, culture, science, education, religion, folklore, and other fields, showcasing both the unique traits of Qi-Lu culture and its interactions with Huaxia culture and even overseas cultures. It offers a macroscopic perspective on China beyond Shandong. Although the book was written by multiple scholars, each volume maintains a consistent style, with standardized writing, unity, distinctiveness, and individuality, which is a significant highlight of the entire work.
