Features: At the end of 2002, the creative collective of "Exploration and Discovery" tried to interpret China's World Heritage on a grand scale from the perspectives of human geography and physical geography with a reverent, gentle, and simple heart. Thus, the 30-episode large-scale television series "World Heritage: China File" was born, which was the first of its kind on CCTV. Nature and humanity have written history in the layered traces of time, leaving behind the marvels of creation and the wisdom of ancestors. This is not only the legacy bestowed upon us by heaven, earth, and ancestors but also the heritage we must pass on to future civilizations about the evolution of the Earth and humanity. China, with 5,000 years of continuous humanistic spirit, has never its reverence for nature and self-reflection. As a result, the numerous natural and cultural landscapes that remain today still shine with the wisdom and diligence of the Chinese people. Through this series of documentaries, we have shown the world the charm of China's natural and cultural heritage while also deepening our understanding of cultural diversity. In today's increasingly globalized world, communication between different civilizations and the coexistence of diverse cultures are of great importance. There is an ancient Chinese saying, "Harmony breeds life, while sameness leads to stagnation," which conveys a similar idea. Natural heritage and cultural heritage are witnesses to human history and important carriers of human civilization. Cultural heritage reflects a nation's unique way of thinking and cultural values, serving as the foundation of a nation and a monument to history. Cultural heritage belongs not only to a country or a nation but also to the common wealth of all humanity. "World Heritage: China File," a series of television programs, presents profound cultural connotations with a keen and unique perspective, possessing significant aesthetic value in human geography. This series, which began broadcasting on January 3, 2003, received an enthusiastic response from viewers. Based on this, China Youth Press and CCTV, after multiple consultations and communications, spent 10 months completing this panoramic book on China's World Heritage. This large-scale book will guide readers to explore the 28 World Cultural and Natural Heritage Sites in China, uncovering the secrets behind the physical geography and cultural landscapes, and presenting to them a magnificent panorama of China's nature and history through an expansive and grand narrative style.
