Publishing Date: 2005-03-01
Features: This book is a detailed examination of the records of days and months (historical dates) in the Twenty-Four Histories. The Examination of Days and Months in the Twenty-Four Histories is a manuscript by the Qing scholar Wang Ruzhen, currently existing in over one hundred volumes and twenty-nine books. It includes the verification of exact dates for important historical events in the first seventeen histories. According to the Draft History of the Qing Dynasty, the original manuscript was complete in two hundred thirty-six volumes, indicating that this is not an unfinished draft but rather a lost portion of the later seven histories, which is a regrettable matter. Extensive searches have been conducted, but no other versions of this manuscript have been found. It is now published in photolithography based on the manuscript preserved in the National Library, to serve scholars.
