Guo Moruo Collected Works (Archaeology Volume 8)

Author: Yan Xiangdong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-03-01
Features: The interpretive section of The Illustrated Catalogue and Explanations of Gold Inscriptions from the Western Zhou and Eastern Zhou Dynasties is included in this volume. The author pioneered the establishment of the standard vessel dating method and classified the artifacts by era and nationality, transforming the "chaotic" traditional bronze vessels into a complete system. This made the author's bronze inscriptions not only systematic chronological records but also systematic nationality records. We have conducted collation and added marginal notes. To preserve Guo's handwritten annotations, certain textual formats in the original book that the author did not correct during his lifetime have been retained in this edition.
