Is there a clinical difference between scarlet fever and rosacea?

Patient's question:

The body is experiencing problems, unsure if it's scarlet fever or facial erysipelas, and is hesitant to take accurate treatment methods. Is there any good method to distinguish between them?

Doctor's answer:

Acne rosacea is a skin disease of the face, caused by the obstruction of blood and qi in the heart and liver meridians, severe wind-heat sensation, and skin depression. The main symptom is flushing. Scarlet fever is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus. It is more common in winter and spring. It is most common in children aged 2 to 8. These are the special symptoms of scarlet fever. The rash subsides after 3 to 5 days, and after the rash disappears, there will be varying degrees of peeling, ranging from fine, cornmeal-like scales to large sheets of peeling. In a small number of severely ill children, symptoms may be severe, high fever, convulsions, coma, and even shock. Sometimes it can be complicated by myocarditis, nephritis, rheumatic fever, otitis media, pneumonia, and other diseases.
