What are the symptoms of infertility?

Patient's question:

I don't know what's wrong, but I've been feeling very uncomfortable downstairs recently, and I'm not getting morning erections either. What are the symptoms of infertility?

Doctor's answer:

Hello! The following symptoms are present:
1. Oligospermia: Oligospermia refers to a condition where the number of sperm in the semen is lower than that of a normal, healthy, and fertile man.
2. Azoospermia: Azoospermia is a condition where no sperm are found in the semen after it is centrifuged and examined under a microscope.
3. Asthenozoospermia: Asthenozoospermia is a condition where the proportion of progressively motile sperm (A and B) in the semen parameters is less than 50%, or the proportion of A motile sperm is less than 25%. Asthenozoospermia is also known as low sperm motility.
4. Hematospermia: Hematospermia is a condition where blood is mixed in the semen, typically appearing pink, red, brownish-red, or streaked with blood.
5. Semen nonliquefaction: Semen nonliquefaction is relatively common in male infertility. Normally, semen is in a liquid state immediately after ejaculation but quickly coagulates into a gel-like consistency, liquefying into a watery liquid within 10–20 minutes. This process is called semen liquefaction and is a normal physiological phenomenon. If semen remains gel-like for more than 30 minutes after ejaculation, it is referred to as semen nonliquefaction.
6. Sperm: If the proportion of abnormal sperm in the semen exceeds 20%, it is considered sperm. Abnormal sperm include morphological abnormalities in the head, body, or tail, or mixed abnormalities of the head and body.
