Features: After the September 11th attacks, the global anti-terrorism alliance formed a significant blow to international terrorist forces: al-Qaeda's training camps in Afghanistan were destroyed, and the Taliban regime that harbored terrorism was overthrown; 2/3 of senior members of al-Qaeda and the Taliban were killed or captured; funds related to terrorist organizations and their activities were frozen. Most countries in the world adopted a series of anti-terrorism policies and measures in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1373, greatly weakening the operational capabilities of international terrorism and shrinking its survival space. This annual report is mainly divided into four parts: First, an overview of the situation of international terrorism and anti-terrorism efforts. Second, international terrorist organizations. Third, case studies of major international terrorist incidents. Fourth, a chronicle of major international terrorist activities and anti-terrorism efforts. This book first evaluates the overall status of global terrorist activities and anti-terrorism efforts, analyzing the patterns of terrorist activities, progress and trends in international anti-terrorism cooperation, existing problems, etc.; it also summarizes the situation in hotspots and major countries in this regard. Second, it introduces some terrorist organizations recognized by countries and organizations, providing a broader reference for related research. Third, it focuses on major international terrorist incidents, identifying the patterns, characteristics, and subtle clues of terrorist activities, and analyzing countermeasures and preventive measures adopted by countries. Fourth, it records major international terrorist activities and anti-terrorism efforts.
