Features: To help people learn Chinese history well, predecessors have compiled and published various historical reference books, which have played a good role. However, among the existing reference books, it is rare to find those that are both rich and comprehensive in content and concise in format, making them convenient for users. This book follows the idea that "eras, geography, official posts, and catalogs are the four keys to studying Chinese history." It compiles the "Chronological Tables of Dynastic Era Names" and "Chronological Tables of Major Historical Events" for eras, the "Administrative Division Tables of Different Dynasties" for geography, the "Official Post Tables of Different Dynasties" and "Tables of Official Posts" for official posts, and the "Catalog of Common Literary and Historical Reference Books" for catalogs. Additionally, it simplifies and compiles several thematic brief tables on politics, economy, military, ethnic groups, and foreign affairs, appending them at the end, ultimately forming a historical reference book that is both comprehensive and concise, making it easy for people to consult and use. The time frame of the tables in this book generally starts from the Qin Dynasty and ends in the late Qing Dynasty. Except for some minor historical issues that trace back slightly earlier, it primarily reflects the history of China's two thousand-year feudal society.
