The Yangtze River Delta region includes Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces, which is the fastest-growing and most economically efficient region in China. Since 2005, the Yangtze River Delta region has experienced a significant slowdown in economic growth due to national macroeconomic regulation and control, as well as factors such as land, labor, resource environment, technological development, and internationalization. To comprehensively study the overall and strategic major issues of the future development of manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta region, this research report proposes ideas and policy recommendations for the structural upgrading of manufacturing in the region. Based on an investigation and study of manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta, this research report analyzes the current status and development trends of manufacturing in the region and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.
