Features: Wei Zhongxing (Zifeng), born in 1953, is a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Fine Arts Association, Executive Deputy Director of the Baoji Chinese Painting Institute, and Director of the National Painting Committee of the Baoji Fine Arts Association. His works have been selected six times for national exhibitions organized by the China Fine Arts Association and have won first prizes four times in major exhibitions such as "Ode to Yan'an" and "Western Land and Emotion." In 1997, Liaoning Fine Arts Publishing House published "Wei Zhongxing Landscape Painting Collection." Wei Zhongxing's landscape sketches adopt the "representational realism" technique, possessing the quality of guiding people to return to nature. In his view, expressing his sincere and pure feelings is important. He either uses light ink and dry brush to meticulously depict details or employs thick ink and blunt brushes to densely dot and lightly rub, with varying densities of form, gradients of ink, twists of lines, and clusters of dots—all of which are the result of natural creation. Thousands of strokes are applied to numerous rocks, trees, and forests, resulting in clear structures, varied arrangements, rich textures, distinct layers, and a realm of "subtlety in grandeur."
