Over thousands of years, countless excellent pieces have emerged, scattered across historical records and the works of renowned scholars. This collection meticulously selects and compiles them. In the Spring and Autumn period, the art of writing was at its peak. Works like "Zi Jia's Letter to Zhao Xuanzi" and "Shu Xiang's Letter to Zi Chan" recorded in the Zuo Zhuan are excluded as they are already considered classics. The names of letters vary. Those used in formal contexts include memorials, petitions, letters of introduction, and notes, while those used in less formal settings are called notes, slips, and instructions. Those used in both formal and informal contexts are called statements. In essence, they all belong to the category of written correspondence. Historically, collectors of letters have categorized them differently. This collection includes all types without distinction, except for those that should be classified under memorial and petition categories, which are excluded from this compilation.
