Doctor's answer:

Medical Analysis: Phimosis refers to a condition where the foreskin opening is narrow and cannot be retracted to expose the glans penis. Phimosis is classified into congenital phimosis and acquired phimosis. Mild adhesion between the inner foreskin and the surface of the glans penis is absorbed, allowing the foreskin to retract and the glans to be exposed. If the adhesion is not absorbed, congenital phimosis is formed. Acquired phimosis is often secondary to inflammation of the glans penis and foreskin, leading to scarred contracture of the foreskin opening. If phimosis is severe, it can cause difficulty in urination or even urinary retention. Accumulation of smegma can lead to itching of the glans penis. Long-term chronic irritation may trigger infections, cancer, leukoplakia, and calculus formation. Surgical treatment is generally recommended, but postoperative edema may occur. Edema after foreskin surgery is usually normal and typically resolves spontaneously within 2-3 weeks. However, if it persists for an extended period, the following measures can be taken:
Temporarily refrain from sexual activity. Maintain good local hygiene, keeping the area clean and dry. Wear loose cotton underwear. Avoid irritation and friction to facilitate the resolution of edema.
