Patient's question:
Sometimes the testicles feel a bit swollen, and sometimes there's also a bit of itching near the testicles.Doctor's answer:
(1) General treatment: Bed rest, large amounts of fluid intake or intravenous infusion, and enhanced systemic supportive therapy.(2) Antibiotics: Active use of effective antibiotics. Commonly selected include quinolones such as ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, and levofloxacin (levofloxacin) 0.2g, intravenous infusion, 2–3 times/d; aminoglycosides such as amikacin and netilmicin 0.4g, intravenous infusion, 1 time/d. After acute inflammatory symptoms are controlled, oral medication can be switched to. The course of treatment should be maintained for 1 month.
(3) Other treatments: Analgesics and antipyretics can be selected, such as metamizole tablets (pain-relieving tablets), paracetamol (Panadol), and paracetamol (Tylenol). For those with urinary difficulties, α-receptor blockers can be used, such as naftopidil 25mg, tamsulosin 2mg, or terazosin (Harley) 0.2mg, oral, 1 time/d. For acute urinary retention, indwelling catheters should not be placed, but suprapubic bladder puncture and drainage should be performed. If a prostatic abscess occurs, incision and drainage should be carried out.
