Features: If you have ever been to Jilin City, you know there is a green river that runs through the city. This river never freezes in winter. On windless nights and in temperatures below -20 degrees Celsius, it often billows with mist, and combined with factors like humidity, it frequently forms rime ice on the pine and willow trees along both banks, creating a world-famous scenic view. The banks of the Songhua River are the homeland of the Manchus. In this sacred land, they still tame eagles and hunt, preserving their traditional customs. The soaring eagles in the sky are a testament to the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. To traverse mountains and rivers, to enter forests and wildernesses—this is our dream, and we will continue to pursue it. While writing this postscript, we heard the call of a humpback whale on the TV, its sound resembling the chirping of a sea gull. Since childhood, both my friend and I have been drawn to the world of wildlife, and this has become our lifelong pursuit. That is why we have made an appointment to observe eagles with Lao Wu this August Festival. When this book is published, we may just be hidden deep in the mountains, waiting for the appearance of the massive, dark-brown shadow of a vulture.
