Hello:1. General Treatment
Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, keep the external genital area clean and dry, and avoid scratching. Do not use hot water to rinse or soap. In case of infection, potassium permanganate solution can be used for sitz baths, but local wiping is strictly prohibited. Clothing, especially underwear, should be loose, comfortable, and breathable. Avoid alcohol and spicy or allergenic foods.
2. Etiological Treatment
Eliminate local or systemic factors that cause itching, such as trichomoniasis, fungal infections, or diabetes.
3. Symptomatic Treatment
(1) Topical Medications
In acute inflammation, 1% resorcinol and 1% lvanol solution or 30% boric acid solution can be used for wet compresses. After washing, apply 40% zinc oxide ointment to the affected area. For chronic itching, topical corticosteroid ointment or 2% diphenhydramine ointment can be applied.
(2) Oral Medications
When symptoms are severe, diphenhydramine 4 mg or hydroxyzine 25 mg can be taken orally to achieve both sedative and desensitizing effects.
