Metaphysical confusion and further inquiry

Features: The texts recorded in this book were completed intermittently by the author over a decade. Although they explore different writers and issues, there is a very clear and consistent thematic thread: a focus on the reflections of modern Chinese literary figures in the 20th century on modern humanity and modern "anthropology." The literary figures examined in the book have conducted abstract theoretical discussions on these issues from a metaphysical height. Among them, the most concentrated focus, or the core issue they ultimately grapple with, is the essence of "humanity" and the spiritual pursuit of transcendence. Additionally, the book conducts a systematic intellectual history examination of the metaphysical way of thinking that has dominated the Chinese people for decades, of course, achieved through a specific analysis of the characteristics and discourse forms of the humanities. This book is a research monograph on the study of contemporary Chinese literature, including Zhou Zuoren: Reflections on "May Fourth" Anthropology, Lu Xun: "Youth Poets" in the "Lyrical Era" of the "May Fourth" Movement, Cao Yu: Life's Reflections in "Thunderstorm," Dawn of Humanity: Early 20th-Century World Humanitarian Thought from the Perspective of the "May Fourth" Movement; The Choice of Historiographical Views by the Second Generation Researchers of Modern Literature. It is suitable for literary researchers to reference.
