Features: Mr. Li Qiqiong, a native of Santai, Sichuan Province, joined the People's Liberation Army shortly after the liberation of China and worked as an artist in the military. In 1952, with a sincere heart, Li Qiqiong traveled far to Dunhuang in the northwest, where she began her work in copying and researching Dunhuang murals. She was trained in oil painting. To adapt to the requirements of copying Dunhuang murals, she diligently studied and researched the characteristics of the murals. In the end, she not only fully understood the techniques of line drawing in Dunhuang murals but also achieved a high level of proficiency in applying these techniques. This art collection collects her works created during the nearly half-century she spent in Dunhuang, representing the culmination of Mr. Li's work in copying and researching Dunhuang murals. It also reflects, from one perspective, the path and achievements of the older generation of art workers at the Dunhuang Academy of Arts and History, making it a valuable treasure of the institution.
