Features: The "China World Heritage Yearbook 2004" is the first volume of the "China World Heritage Yearbook," aiming to comprehensively and systematically reflect the current status of China's World Cultural Heritage, World Natural Heritage, World Cultural and Natural Heritage, and Intangible Cultural Heritage, as well as the arduous journey of China's World Heritage cause. It was jointly edited by the National Cultural Relics Administration, the Ministry of Construction, and the National Commission of China for UNESCO, and compiled by the China World Heritage Yearbook Editorial Committee, which was composed of the aforementioned three organizations. The "China World Heritage Yearbook 2004" is divided into thirteen categories: Overview, Chronology, Special Features, Articles, Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Cultural and Natural Heritage, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Organizations, Exchange and Cooperation, Laws and Regulations, People, and Appendices. Each category has its own focus while complementing one another. In addition to the textual content, the book is accompanied by images and documentary materials, striving to vividly and accurately reflect the general outline of China's nearly two decades of World Heritage development from 1985 to December 31, 2003, and comprehensively showcase the charm of China's World Heritage.
