Features: This book consists of 36 lessons, each lesson being a separate chapter. Each lesson is divided into four parts: conversational text, vocabulary list, notes, and translation. The content is based on topics frequently encountered in daily life in Japan, gradually delving into conversations from different perspectives. The language materials are characterized by high frequency of use, strong practicality, and colloquial style. Through studying this book, learners not only improve their oral communication skills but also gain a deeper understanding of Japanese society and culture, providing a sense of being close to Japan and immersing in its environment. The content and teaching arrangement of each lesson in this book are as follows:
1. Conversational Text
Each lesson focuses on one or more communicative functions, arranging 4-5 conversational segments that are relatively independent yet interconnected. The names of the dialogue characters are based on common Japanese names, avoiding repetition, to help learners become familiar with the basic pronunciation of Japanese names.
2. Vocabulary List
Japanese words that are similar or almost the same in meaning as Chinese are annotated with hiragana and do not appear repeatedly in the vocabulary list.
3. Pronunciation and Notes
The conversational text requires a high degree of colloquialism and correct intonation, so the intonation of individual sentences is marked with pronunciation guides. The book is accompanied by an audio recording.
4. Translation
To meet the needs of learners, this book includes Chinese translations. Due to differences in expression habits between Chinese and Japanese, some sentences are translated literally, while others are translated idiomatically. In some cases, the translations may deviate slightly from the original text.
5. This book is designed with the principle of concise explanation and practice in mind, therefore, the exercise sections found in previous textbooks have been omitted.
6. Assuming a weekly schedule of 4 hours per lesson, this book can be completed in approximately 220 hours over three semesters.
