After the major social upheavals of the early Qing dynasty, through the foundational development during the Kangxi and Yongzheng reigns, by the time of the Qianlong era, feudal society in China had reached its zenith. Politics, economy, military, and culture reached unprecedented heights, and ultimately completed the unification of the multi-ethnic nation, establishing China's sacred territory. From the biographies of figures such as Neri, Yue Zhongqi, Zhang Guangsi, Fu Heng, Wenfu, and Hailancha included in this volume, one can not only see their military talents but also understand the background, causes, scale, nature, and significance of certain wars. Most of these wars were just, playing a significant role in achieving national unification and maintaining stability. However, there were exceptions. From the biographies of figures like Sarobin, it is not difficult to see that the war against the Jinchi tusi had issues such as hasty decision-making and excessive military expenditure.
