Publishing them is also intended to contribute another brick to the development of Chinese sociology and anthropology and to lay a more solid foundation. The topics covered in this seminar were very broad, and each researcher conducted in-depth studies on their respective subjects. Professor Fei Xiaotong has always emphasized the importance of finding research topics with both significant academic value and the potential to promote social development through practical investigations into Chinese society. Additionally, exploring the patterns of social change and shifts in people's perspectives by analyzing social practices. The presentations at this seminar were primarily empirical, with some addressing core issues in sociological methodology, modernization theory, and anthropological theory from different perspectives and themes. From this perspective, the seminar also reflects the characteristics of interdisciplinary and cross-field dialogue.
