Sociological Analysis of Regional Development Models

Features: While reviewing the vast literature on regional development models in China, the author found that existing research suffers from several significant flaws. There is an overemphasis on empirical and case-study-based research, while in-depth theoretical and methodological studies are severely lacking. From the perspective of basic academic requirements in social science research, many researchers exhibit immaturity and lack of standardization in the use of concepts, research procedures, research methods, and logical consistency. These studies are isolated from one another, with minimal dialogue and exchange, and there is a lack of deep theoretical analysis and theoretical construction. If these research outcomes are read individually, it is difficult to determine the extent of accumulated knowledge and understanding in this field and on this issue, as well as the current state and future direction.
