Features: In Chinese characters, pottery inscriptions are one of the oldest types, divided into two categories: carved inscriptions and stamped inscriptions. Pottery inscriptions are not only valuable data for studying ancient scripts but also valuable data for researching ancient official systems, naming systems, metrological systems, and geographical changes. Currently, unearthed pottery inscriptions are primarily from the Warring States period. Since the late Qing Dynasty, the recording and study of pottery inscriptions have been valued by academia, and several printed editions have been published. Among them, the highly acclaimed Ji Mu Zang Tao compiled by Sun Xun and Sun Ding in 1943 stands out. This book is a selected collection, which inevitably leaves out some valuable pieces, and its print run was limited, making it not widely circulated. This book was personally supervised by Mr. Zhou Ji Mu, who provided Mr. Zhou Shao Liang with a complete set of rubbings of the inscribed pottery from the Ji Mu collection that he had organized. Mr. Li Ling conducted a reclassification and added annotations, publishing it as Newly Compiled Complete Ji Mu Zang Tao. This has been beneficial for advancing the study of pottery inscriptions.
