Haikou Diary

Features: In the Qingming Festival of 1992, I went to Haikou, the southernmost city in the south. A few years later, I had a collection of short stories titled Haikou Diary. As an "avant-garde writer" recognized by academia, the stories included in this collection were, for me, a test of narrative ability. I felt I could tell the public a beautiful story. I dispersed the heaviness of life into leisurely words, reaching the inner self of another "me" through a diary format. I like the indifferent man in the stories; his way of life can be seen, in a sense, as a journey in my dreams. This book includes 16 short and medium-length stories such as "A Game of Killing," "Double Pupils," "The End of a Place," "In Memory of a Young Girl," and "Flower Attack."
