Overseas Chinese and the relationship with the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China

Author: Ren Guixiang, Zhao Hongying (editors)

Publishing Date: 1999-10-01
Features: The authors of this series of books did not simply study the Kuomintang or the Communist Party of China in isolation, but rather examined the relationship between the two parties from a historical perspective over the past 70 years. Similarly, they did not focus solely on Taiwan or the mainland of China, but instead emphasized the study of cross-strait relations over the past 40 years. In summary, our focus is on researching the "two relationships" from various periods, fields, and different angles. We conduct both vertical historical research on the "two relationships" and horizontal theoretical research, with the former taking precedence, combining history and theory. The series is initially planned to consist of 20 volumes, each with 250,000–300,000 words. The editors are guided by dialectical materialism and historical materialism, analyzing historical and contemporary issues objectively, striving to reveal the laws of development in cross-party relations and cross-strait relations. They aim to achieve a scientific system, rich content, correct perspectives, reliable data, and fluent language, integrating scientific rigor, theoretical depth, and readability.
