Is it harmful for a man to get an erection without ejaculation?

Patient's question:

I recently don't know why my lower body is very uncomfortable, and I also don't have morning erections anymore. Is it harmful for men to have erections without ejaculation?

Doctor's answer:

For patients with functional anejaculation, psychological, physical, and pharmacological treatments can achieve good results. However, for organic anejaculation, especially that caused by central nervous system disorders, there is currently no effective treatment.
1. Psychological Therapy
Primarily used for patients with functional anejaculation, it involves sex education, (popularizing sexual knowledge), and eliminating sexual ignorance. It is also important to involve the patient's partner in treatment, correct their incorrect mindset, and provide men with active support, comfort, and encouragement to achieve successful ejaculation.
2. Physical Therapy
Mainly includes electrovibration and stimulation. For patients with functional anejaculation, a single session of electrovibration can achieve ejaculation in half of the patients. Most patients can be cured after about 10 treatments, achieving successful sexual intercourse and ejaculation.
3. Pharmacological Therapy
Ephedrine and levodopa are commonly used. Sedatives should be avoided.
