Features: In compiling this series, we have focused on two aspects. On the one hand, when selecting books, we strive for comprehensiveness, novelty, representativeness, and forward-looking perspectives. We do not favor a single viewpoint or limit our selection to books from one foreign publishing house. While giving due attention to the core disciplines of linguistics and applied linguistics, we also do not overlook the branch disciplines. Corpus linguistics and linguistic statistics, as emerging fields, have been included with dedicated monographs. Syntax and semantics, which have long been subjects of research, have also been accompanied by the latest relevant works. On the other hand, we have invited well-known domestic doctoral supervisors and master supervisors to write prefaces and introductions for each book, paving the way for readers. The extensive collection of monographs on linguistics and applied linguistics may leave beginners feeling overwhelmed. To assist them, we have asked experts to write approximately 10,000 words of introductory materials for each book in this series. Even if the content is unfamiliar, anyone who reads the introduction before starting and reviews it afterward will surely grasp the key points and understand the overall structure.
