Features: In the context of globalization, cultural hegemony refers to how Western countries promote their material lifestyle, philosophy of life, and values as universal standards, thereby granting themselves a dominant position in culture. Brzezinski explicitly stated in his book "The Grand Chessboard" that the outcome of the United States' competition for Eurasia would ultimately be decided by non-military means, with "political vitality, ideological flexibility, economic dynamism, and cultural attractiveness becoming decisive factors." The immediate consequence is that the indigenous cultures of many developing countries are increasingly at risk of being swallowed up by Western culture. Developing countries must urgently defend their cultural sovereignty.
