Features: Excerpt: I have repeatedly emphasized that I am just an "experimentalist" and never consider myself a "scholar" who conducts normative research on martial arts. Because this kind of normative research, as Professor Qin Hui of Tsinghua University puts it, should pursue "a one-sided depth" from the very beginning. I believe that the more refined this kind of research becomes, the further it may stray from objective reality. If our scholars continue to study in this way, they may find it difficult to explain reality. As for me, I have been given the best opportunity to participate in the research of rural policy experimental zones, and I have spent the best years of my life doing fieldwork. It is through long-term grassroots research that I have accumulated some superficial intuitive understanding. However, perhaps precisely because I know little theory, which is my weakness, after 20 years of research, I have only gained a pile of confusion. Therefore, what I can say is true. I can only report to everyone my confusion.
