Author: Li Wenhai, edited by Xia Mingfang
Publisher:
Publication Date: 2004-10-01
Features: This series primarily collects famine relief documents published during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Those published during the Republican era but documenting events from the Qing dynasty or earlier are also included. The documents in this series are arranged chronologically based on their publication date or first edition, with entries organized by volume and source. For those whose compilation or publication years are temporarily uncertain, they are placed at the end of the relevant dynastic or genre sections for further research. The documents collected generally use manuscript or early printed editions as the basis. For easier reading, the series is reorganized in simplified horizontal characters and punctuated with current punctuation marks. To preserve the original form of the documents, no changes are made to correct errors, omissions, or discrepancies in the original texts, except that the correct characters are enclosed in square brackets before and after the errors.
