This book is the volume of "The Historical Materials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Qing Dynasty on Sino-British Relations," with selected content focused on road and mining industries. According to the plan, we will continue to edit and publish archives on other topics of Sino-British relations. The selected archives (main documents and attachments) in this volume total 31 items, all published as facsimiles of the original documents for reference by scholars and experts. To ensure the clarity of the archives, the compilers have categorized them and arranged them in chronological order within each category according to the time of their formation. Additionally, the compilers have drafted titles for each archive, compiled an index, and noted the corresponding dates in the Chinese and Western calendars to facilitate reader.
