Survey on China's Rule of Law Progress
The reason we chose Guangdong as a case study is twofold. On one hand, it is due to technical considerations. For cost reasons, the survey was completed by student volunteers during the "May Day" Golden Week holiday. However, the survey subjects were not limited to residents of Guangdong Province but also included migrant workers in Guangdong, with statistics showing that there are 16 million migrant workers in the province. On the other hand, Guangdong is one of the regions that has been relatively early in promoting rule of law governance. Choosing Guangdong as the survey subject is representative and forward-looking.
