Patient's question:
At first, the seminal vesicle had some small lumps, but it didn't itch during the day. It only itched when I took a nap in the afternoon. After about 5 or 6 days, the small lumps disappeared, but the seminal vesicle had slightly enlarged, and then I realized I had seminal vesitis.Doctor's answer:
Chronic seminal vesiculitis is often caused by severe acute seminal vesiculitis or incomplete treatment. In some cases, it results from frequent excitement or excessive sexual activity leading to congestion of the seminal vesicles and prostate, followed by secondary infection, which then causes chronic seminal vesiculitis. The symptoms of chronic seminal vesiculitis are difficult to distinguish from those of chronic prostatitis, and the two conditions are often present simultaneously. Blood in the semen (hematospermia) is a characteristic feature of chronic seminal vesiculitis and is often persistent, recurring with each ejaculation for several months.
