Features: We are living in an era where everyone pursues career success, and it is also an era with diverse standards of success. So, what is career success and how to achieve it have naturally become issues of great concern to people. Of course, the strategies required for career success under different standards are different. Attempting to measure everyone with a unified standard of career success is difficult to gain acceptance; similarly, trying to find a career success path suitable for everyone is futile. However, this does not mean that the topic of career success cannot enter the field of academic research. Although research in this area in China is still relatively scarce, there is a wealth of empirical research results on career success in the West. This book is a work that draws on and integrates research findings on career success both domestically and internationally, exploring career success from both theoretical and practical perspectives. It includes both a detailed introduction and discussion of Western literature and an analysis and research of local cases. The book addresses the core question of whether there are some common factors that influence career success among the many different definitions of career success by different people and the various ways in which different career success goals are achieved. The chapters of the book are organized around these three questions. The author attempts to lay a foundational groundwork for domestic research on career success in theory and provide reference and assistance for career aspirants in practice. At the beginning of writing, the author hoped that this book could reflect the following three features: First, clear arguments with sufficient evidence. Every argument is supported by a wealth of empirical research. Second, lively and easy-to-understand content. Although the book contains rich academic research findings, it should not be written in an obscure manner. The author strives to express professional theories and research in plain language and vivid examples, so that scholars and practitioners can take what they need and apply it to their own use. Third, a rich list of references. The book includes a large number of references, both as a respect for the intellectual property rights of the original authors and as clues for those interested in further research. Here, the author expresses respect and gratitude to all the authors cited in this book.
