Features: In 1934, radio stations in Shanghai jointly held a singing competition, where Bai Hong, Zhou Xuan, and Wang Manjie ranked among the top three. Zhou Xuan was praised by newspapers as a "newly emerging young singer with a bright future," and radio stations described her voice as "like a golden flute, deeply moving the heart." She was thus given the nickname "Golden Voice." At that time, she was only 14 years old. In 1995, at the 90th Anniversary Celebration of Chinese Cinema, the film Street Angel, which she starred in, was honored as one of the "Outstanding Films of the 90th Year of Chinese Cinema," and she herself received the "Centennial Award of Chinese Cinema." During her lifetime, she had sung over 200 songs, many of which became classic hits and are still popular today. Seasonal Song, Sorrowful Ballad, Night Shanghai, When Will You Return Again, and many others. "Her voice lingered long, echoing for decades, and captivated half a century." As an incredibly talented actress, she unfortunately fell victim to the fates of "beautiful women with tragic destinies" and "meeting the wrong person." This book is suitable for scholars or enthusiasts of Chinese art history, Chinese film history, modern and contemporary Chinese cultural history, the history of Chinese popular songs, fans or critics of Zhou Xuan, as well as middle and high school students.
