Tea poetry is also a path leading deeper into tea culture, inviting us to follow this path to explore its beauty and mysteries. This book collects 420 representative poems, lyrics, quatrains, and odes on tea by poets and writers from the Western Jin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, divided into four parts: Poetry, Lyrics, Quatrains, and Odes. Among them, there are 183 tea poems, 183 tea lyrics, 44 tea quatrains, and 10 tea odes. The selection of works follows the principle of combining ideological content and artistic quality, while also considering the diversity and representativeness of works from different periods, dynasties, and authors, to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of tea-themed poetry, lyrics, quatrains, and odes. In the main text, authors and works are arranged in chronological order by dynasty and birth year. For those with unknown birth and death years, they are ordered by their lifespan or academic achievements. Works by the same author are arranged by the chronological order of their creation, accompanied by brief author biographies. In the main text, there may be variations in different versions of the works. This book chooses the best version and does not adhere to any single source. Important variations are briefly explained in the notes, without detailed. The historical chronology mentioned in this book generally uses the old calendar. The pronunciation of words is indicated using Pinyin, and place names are annotated with their modern equivalents. Descriptions of scenic spots, historical sites, and allusions are provided in brief. The selected works in this book are accompanied by detailed notes, with summaries of tea poetry, lyrics, quatrains, and odes to aid readers in appreciation.
